The First 3 People Who Enter The Hellfire

In the Holy Quran, Allah has used names such as Jahanum, Hawiya, Hutama, and Saqar to describe hell. This fiery abode awaits disbelievers in God, hypocrites, idolaters, the arrogant, those who trivialize religion, treaty breakers, mockers of God's messengers and the Day of Judgment, murderers, those who wrongfully take inheritance, especially from orphans, and those accused of slandering chaste women. Allah emphasizes in the Quran that those who disbelieve and commit injustice will never be forgiven nor guided, destined to dwell eternally in Hell, a fate deemed easy by Allah.

But who will be the first to enter Hell? According to a hadith, the first three summoned by Allah for this fate will be a scholar, a martyr, and a wealthy man. The hadith recounts:

The Martyr:

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

"The first person to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be a martyr. Allah will remind him of His favors, which he will acknowledge. Allah will ask: 'What did you do with these favors?' The martyr will reply: 'I fought for Your sake until I died as a martyr.' Allah will say: 'You lie! You fought to be called a hero, and so you were called.' Then the martyr will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell."

The Scholar:

Another to be judged will be a man of knowledge who taught and recited the Quran. Allah will remind him of His favors, which he will acknowledge. Allah will ask: 'What did you do with these favors?' The scholar will reply: 'I acquired knowledge and taught it, and recited the Quran for Your sake.' Allah will say: 'You lie! You sought knowledge to be called knowledgeable, and recited the Quran to be called a reciter.' Then the scholar will be dragged on his face and cast into Hell.

The Wealthy Man:

Yet another to be judged will be a wealthy man blessed by Allah with abundance. Allah will remind him of His favors, which he will acknowledge. Allah will ask: 'What did you do with these favors?' The wealthy man will reply: 'I spared no expense in spending wealth for Your sake wherever You desired.' Allah will say: 'You lie! You spent to be called generous, and so you were called.' Then the wealthy man will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.

May Allah protect us from the torment of Hellfire. Ameen!
